Overview

Muse Management is seeking a professional, discreet, and hands-on Butler / Caretaker to support a UHNW private household over weekends. This role is key to ensuring the smooth running, presentation, and security of the residence during this period.

The position would suit an experienced individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards and is confident working independently. There is flexibility within the role, with the opportunity to take on additional days where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide housekeeping and front-of-house support as required, ensuring the residence is maintained to exceptional standards
• Ensure overall security of the property during weekends
• Open and close the house as required
• Carry out polishing and care of silverware and wooden furniture using appropriate methods
• Run all taps, baths, and toilets regularly to maintain systems within the property
• Conduct visual inspections of all rooms, ensuring lighting, fixtures, and furnishings are in working order and reporting any issues
• Undertake valet duties, including shoe polishing, pressing garments, and maintaining the Principal’s wardrobe in conjunction with the Housekeeper
• Support wider household operations, including assisting with the upkeep of areas such as the chapel and additional residence spaces as required
• Assist with stock checks and monitor use-by dates of household items
• Support the organisation and maintenance of the wine cellar as directed
• Provide service support during dinners and events, including hosting and looking after guests
• Assist with cooking when required
• Work collaboratively with the House Manager and Housekeeper to ensure continuity and seamless household operations
